St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort and Spa Review

Exclusivity and indulgence carry the day here; you can even have someone unpack for you. The 172-acre grounds include a private beach club, an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr.–designed golf course, and tennis courts across the street. Rooms have views of either the coast or the lush landscaping. Bedding is plush. The premier restaurant is Stonehill Tavern, which serves celebrated San Francisco chef Michael Mina's modern American fare. The restaurant's wine selection is among the best along the coast. For casual dining on the beach, check out the Monarch Bay Club. Reflecting the exemplary service standards of the St. Regis, even pets are offered deluxe packages involving toys and special treats in silver bowls.
