Fodor's Review

One mile south of downtown, this Laguna Beach property is even more wonderful than longtime fans remember. On an exquisite stretch of beach with thundering waves and gorgeous rocks, this is a getaway for those who want a boutique hotel experience without all the formalities. Expect elegant beige-and-white decor in the rooms, private balconies, slumber-worthy beds within earshot of the ocean, and a small full-service spa—all within walking distance of downtown Laguna.

The seasonal California cuisine at Splashes is top notch; sunset at the outdoor 15FiftyFive is just about perfect.

Where is the Air Con?

Yes I agree that this is a nice hotel and has a graet view but it has no aircon. This meant that if you wanted to shut the ocean front door to cut down on the roar, and I do mean roar of the ocean at night you had a humid hot and uncomfortable night. We have stayed at the Inn at Laguna which is nearly as nice but gives you the option to shut the noise out. We cut our stay short because of the noise problem. A good hotel spoilt by a problem which others

must have encountered.
