Studio Review

In a nod to Laguna's art history, Studio has food that entices the eye as well as the palate. You can't beat the location, on a 50-foot bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean—every table has an ocean view. And because the restaurant occupies its own Craftsman-style bungalow, it doesn't feel like a hotel dining room. Under the deft direction of Chef Craig Strong, the menu changes seasonally to reflect the finest seafood and the freshest local ingredients on hand. You might begin with Kumamoto oysters or hamachi sashimi with edible flowers before moving on to lamb rib eye or sous-vide wild Alaskan salmon. The wine list here is bursting, with nearly 2,500 labels.

Our 25th Anniversary Dinner at The Studio/A Night To Remember

AFter spending 3 nights at the Hotel Del Coronado, we decided on the Montage for the night of our 25th wedding anniversary. First of all, I would like to say that this place is totally over the top and absolutely amazing. The grounds are stunning, the view from the lobby balcony literally took our breath away (we renewed our vows here later in the evening,) and the service is outstanding.
Our meal at The Studio was perfect, our wine was decantered upon arrival, everything we ordred was good, my entree of the John Dory seafood was perfectly prepared, service was attentive and professional, desserts were also excellent. A very nice special occasion restaurant.
