South Coast and Catalina Island Sights

Huntington State Beach

Huntington State Beach Review

As you continue south, Huntington State Beach parallels Pacific Coast Highway. On the state and city beaches there are changing rooms, concessions, lifeguards, Wi-Fi, and ample parking; the state beach also has 200 fire pits for bonfires. A 6-mile bike path connects Huntington State Beach to the city beach and Bolsa Chica to the north. Picnic areas can be reserved in advance for a $150 fee, otherwise it's first come, first served. On hot days, expect crowds at this broad, soft sandy beach. Busy PCH separates the beach from the town. Amenities: food and drink; lifeguards; parking; showers; toilets. Best for: sunset; surfing; swimming; walking.
