Fodor's Review

This 195-acre park has a long, sandy beach and picnic areas, and is an excellent whale-watching spot from December through April. Opposite the beach, along the Gualala River estuary, two dozen campsites are shaded by redwoods. Dogs must be on a leash at all times throughout the park. Watch out for unpredictable sleeper waves which are common along the north coast.
