Fodor's Review

Set in an orchard of organic, heirloom apples, the three cottages and one guest room here are tasteful, inviting, and inspired by the surrounding landscape. It all feels very Provençal, from the elegant country linens to the beautiful floral paintings adorning the walls, and the gardens full of herbs and vegetables outside your door. On some weekends the cottages are reserved for people attending the highly respected cooking school here (two of the owners founded the

renowned Napa Valley restaurant the French Laundry), but midweek there is nearly always a room available. The farm stand sells a huge selection of the orchard's apples and pears in season, plus delectable apricot, plum, raspberry and other jams, including a superbly sweet-tart orange marmalade.
