The Philo Apple Farm Review
Set in an orchard of organic, heirloom apples, the three cottages and one guest room here are tasteful, spare, and inspired by the surrounding landscape. It all feels very Provençal, from the elegant country linens to the deep soaking tubs and beautiful floral paintings adorning the walls. On some weekends the cottages are reserved for people attending the highly respected cooking school here (two of the owners founded the renowned Napa Valley restaurant the French Laundry), but midweek there is nearly always a room available. The farm stand, similarly refined, is also worth a stop.
