North Coast Restaurant Reviews
A few restaurants with national reputations, plus several more of regional note, entice palates on the North Coast. Even the workaday local spots take advantage of the abundant fresh seafood and locally grown vegetables and herbs. Attire is usually informal, though at the pricier establishments dressy casual (somewhere between flip-flops and high heels) is the norm. As in many rural areas, plan to dine early: the majority of kitchens close at 8 or 8:30 and virtually no one serves past 9:30. Also note that many restaurants in the northern part of this region close for a winter break in January.
