Barstow

Barstow was born in 1886, when a subsidiary of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway began construction of a Harvey House depot and hotel here. The depot has been restored and includes two free museums; the family-friendly Calico Ghost Town is just north of town, and there are well-known chain motels and restaurants right off I–15 if you need a rest and refuel before the next stop.
