A popular recreation retreat, Diaz Lake was formed when an 1872 earthquake dropped the Owens Valley floor 20 feet. You can fish the 85-acre lake for bass, rainbow trout, and catfish. Campsites are scattered around the lake, some shaded by cottonwood and willow trees. Two-week advance reservations are recommended (a check is required to secure your reservation).
