Fodor's Expert Review Hart Winery

A perennial crowd-pleaser, this winery specializes in well-crafted red wines made by Jim Hart, whose father and mother, Joe and Nancy, started the winery in the 1970s. Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon are among the stars, but Hart Family also works with little-known varietals like Aleatico, used in a marvelous dessert wine. Don't overlook their fabulous whites or dry rosé. This is one of the few Temecula wineries to allow picnics. There's live music weekends from 1 to 4 pm.
