California Polytechnic University at Pomona
California Polytechnic University at Pomona Review
The university occupies 1,438 rolling acres of the Kellogg Ranch, originally the winter home of cereal magnate W.K. Kellogg. Cal Poly specializes in teaching agriculture, and you can find rose gardens, avocado groves, many farm animals, and a working Arabian horse ranch. The Farm Store (4102 University Dr. S. 909/869–4906, open daily 10–6) sells locally grown meat, produce, and cheeses, along with plants grown in the university nursery.
