Railroad Park Resort Review
The antique cabooses here were collected over more than three decades and have been converted into cozy motel rooms in honor of Dunsmuir's railroad legacy. The resort has a vaguely Orient Express-style dining room and a lounge fashioned from vintage railcars. A creek runs next to the landscaped grounds, where you'll find a huge steam engine, a restored water tower, and a spectacular view of Castle Crags. There's also an RV park and campground.
