The Far North: Places to Explore

Dunsmuir

Castle Crags State Park surrounds the tiny town of Dunsmuir, which was named for a 19th-century Scottish coal baron who offered to build a fountain if the town was renamed in his honor. The town's other major attraction is the Railroad Park Resort, where you can spend the night in restored railcars.
