Micke Grove Regional Park

Micke Grove Regional Park Review

This 258-acre, oak-shaded park, about 5 miles south of downtown, has a Japanese tea garden, picnic areas, children's play areas, softball fields, an agricultural museum, a golf course, and a water-play feature. Most rides and attractions at Fun Town at Micke Grove, a family-oriented amusement park, are geared toward children. Geckos and frogs, black-and-white ruffed lemurs, and hissing cockroaches found only on Madagascar inhabit "An Island Lost in Time," an exhibit at the Micke Grove Zoo. California sea lions, Chinese alligators and a walk-through Mediterranean aviary are among the other highlights.

(Micke Grove Golf Links, an 18-hole course, is next to the park.)
