Berkeley Marina

Berkeley Marina Review

The marina has spectacular views of San Francisco and Angel Island from a ¾-mile-long wooden pier, and there are grassy expanses good for a picnic. On sunny days, the 92-acre Cesar E. Chavez Park, at the marina's northern tip, fills with kite flyers, dog walkers, and families grilling and riding bikes. The Berkeley Kite Festival happens here each July, and thousands watch San Francisco's Fourth of July fireworks from this spot—when they can be seen through the fog.
