Fodor's Review

High-profile Wild Horse, these days part of the Constellation Brands lineup, is known for its Central Coast Pinot Noir and other widely distributed wines. The draws at its winery, though, are smaller-production, vineyard-designated Pinot Noirs, along with wines made from Malvasia Bianca, Verdelho, Blaufränkisch, and other rare varietals planted by Ken Volk, the original owner. The Pinots, one called Unbridled, the other Cheval Sauvage (“wild horse” in French), are both made from grapes grown in Santa Barbara County’s Santa Maria Valley AVA.
