Fodor's Review

The only full-service hotel in the heart of downtown, this Kimpton property blends a casual, beach-getaway feel with urban sophistication. Moroccan rugs, African masks, dark wood floors, and sea-grass color schemes create an exotic mood throughout. Homey touches in the light-filled rooms include walnut four-poster beds, yoga mats, candles, and binoculars to take along while touring the town. The Perch, a sixth-floor guests-only rooftop lounge, has a pool and stunning views.

The Finch & Fork restaurant ($$$) on the lobby floor serves upscale comfort food centered on fresh local ingredients.

Canary Hotel Review

I loved staying at the Canary hotel downtown. The location was great and the rooms were very nice as well. My favorite part was the pool and bar up on the roof; the views were gorgeous. The service was very on par and were never hessitant to ask if I needed any help with just about anything. It was a bit pricy though and I did spend a lot more then I had originally expected. A great hotel I just recently discovered is the Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com).

So affordable and I loved that it was very quaint and quiet.
