Hotel Corque Review

Sleek, stunning Hotel Corque—the Santa Ynez Valley's largest hotel—provides a full slate of upscale amenities. The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians bought the aging Royal Scandinavian Inn in 2007, then poured millions into a top-to-bottom renovation. The Chumash popped open the three-story "Corque" in spring 2009, revealing a sophisticated, yet casual resort. Natural elements abound throughout: mahogany, oak, and maple floors and furnishings, stone tiles, granite countertops, and textured walls and color schemes that reflect the surrounding oak-studded meadows. All guest rooms have super-comfy beds with custom posture-pampering mattresses, 42-inch high-def plasma TVs, and lavish baths with rain showers; ask for one with a private balcony or terrace overlooking the mountains and vineyards.
