Equestrian themes surface throughout this intimate, sophisticated, European-style inn just a half-block from the main square and a short walk to some of Paso's best restaurants. Each of the 16 spacious rooms is named after a famous racehorse (its history and picture hang on the wall) and include custom European contemporary furnishings, king beds with exquisite linens and comforters, and original works of art. Most rooms have fireplaces and window seats; some have vaulted cedar ceilings. At the on-site Pony Club, you can sip local and international wines and champagne at the horseshoe-shape zinc bar. Pros: Walking distance from downtown restaurants, European-style facilities, personal service. Cons: Next to construction site, views aren't great, no pool or hot tub.
