You might have to wait 45 minutes for a table at this trendy, two-story restaurant and sushi bar—locals line up early for the hip, casual atmosphere and wildly creative combination rolls. Fans of authentic Japanese food sometimes disagree about the quality of the seafood, but all dishes are fresh and artfully presented. The menu includes traditional dishes as well as innovative creations such as sushi pizza on seaweed and Hawaiian sashimi salad.

It's clean, it's trendy, it's fresh, the crowd is youthful and energetic, the food is fresh and innovative, you can sit inside with the crowd or outside and people watch. I love this place, and my dates always love it. It's always packed, and though it may not be the "Fishy authentic" sushi experience of say, Gardena or little Tokyo, it is perfect Santa Barbara style sushi, if there is such a thing.
