Avila Village Inn

Fodor's Review:

Opened in 2005, this small, adult-oriented hotel embraces Craftsman style in its wood-and-stone architecture and in custom furnishings such as faux-Tiffany lampshades. Rooms are decked out with comforts: down bedding, robes, fireplaces, flat-screen TVs; most have hot tubs—some on private creek-side balconies. Pros: In a residential community, access to great fitness center with pool, gorgeous lobby. Cons: Some rooms are small and dark, several miles from the beach.

  • Hotel Details: 26 rooms, 4 suites
  • In-room: refrigerator, DVD, Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: bar, gym, Internet terminal, some pets allowed.
