Fodor's Review:

Site of the scene in Sideways where the four main characters dine together and share a few bottles of wine, this down-to-earth restaurant not only provided the setting but served the actors real food from their existing menu during filming. Part wine store and part social hub for locals, the café focuses on wine-friendly fish, pasta, and meat dishes made from local bounty, plus salads, pizzas, and burgers. Don't miss the homemade muffuletta and tapenade. Other house favorites include an artisanal cheese plate, baked Brie with honey-roasted hazelnuts, and braised pot roast with whipped potatoes.

I didn't dare think of getting a Merlot. Okay, now that I got that out of the way let's get back to the review. Food is average at best and the service is extremely slow. Better to come here for some wine at the bar than for a meal. The wine selection is extensive although the markup is rich.
