Fodor's Review

California's seafaring history is the focus here. High-tech, hands-on exhibits, such as a sportfishing activity that lets participants catch a "big one" and a local surfing history retrospective, make this a fun stop for families. The museum's shining star is an extremely rare, 17-foot-tall First Order Fresnel lens from the historic Point Conception Lighthouse.
