Fodor's Review:

Jazz wafts through the several small rooms of this intimate East Village bistro where leopard-print cushions line the banquettes. Start with an order of the fried olives stuffed with gorgonzola, accompanied by a glass from the eclectic list of local and imported wines. On the daily-changing, always exciting menu, you might find braised short ribs with goat-cheese polenta or duck breast with dried-cherry couscous.

Perfect little bistro in charming village. Excellent service -- outstanding wine list. The chocolate souffle (ordered when you place your dinner order) was terrific, as were all of the entrees. Make your reservation early (it's a small place and appears to be full all the time). Loved it when the chef leaned out of the kitchen to thank us and say good night!

We have dined at the Black Cat Bistro once for dinner while in Cambria. It is a rather small dining room, very nicely appointed with great food and service. I had a Sea Scallop pasta entree that was very good, a fresh green salad and we shared a chocolate Lava cake for dessert that was excellent.
I would highly recommend Black Cat while in the Cambria area for dinner.
