By Bus in San Francisco

Greyhound, the only long-distance bus company serving San Francisco, operates buses to and from most major cities in the country, terminating at the bus depot on Mission Street, near the Financial District. Service in California is limited to hub towns and cities only. Reservations are not accepted; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Cash, traveler's checks, and credit cards are accepted. Smoking is prohibited on all buses in California.
