Fodor's Review:
America's first wine bar doesn't seem to have changed much since it opened in 1974. The place is more cozy pub than snooty wine bar, but the cellar, especially strong in selections from small California wineries, is extensive, with 30 to 40 wines available by the glass. The after-work bar is open only on weekdays, until about 9.
