Gordon Biersch Brewery and Restaurant

Fodor's Review:

This giant microbrewery has outlasted the boutique-beer trend and continues to draw big after-work crowds. Part of a nationwide empire that got its start in nearby Palo Alto, Gordon Biersch is known for its German-style pilsners and brews -- as well as what some have called the greatest garlic fries in creation (though regulars give the burgers at this location low marks). The outdoor seating area has killer views of the Bay Bridge, making this an ideal spot for an afternoon drink.
