This European-style pizzeria, sandwiched between Tartine Bakery and Delfina, has a few sidewalk tables that can be sublime on a nice day (if you can score one). If not, try for one of the few tables inside. Locals debate their favorite chewy, thin-crusted, Neapolitan-style pizza from here, but the Panna with tomato sauce, cream, basil, and Parmesan is hard to top. Besides the six pizzas and two seasonal pizzas, the restaurant also offers superfresh salads and antipasti.
Since the few precious seats are at a premium, you can order take-out and carry the pizza to Dolores Park. A second, equally busy, location is in Pacific Heights.
