Park Tavern Review
This upscale American tavern right on Washington Square has been a hit from the day it opened. Chef Jennifer Puccio has created a menu that is appealing for many, whether you're at the bar and just want some deviled eggs and charcuterie, in the dining room for a meal of a butter-lettuce wedge and grilled New York steak, or lingering over a sunny brunch of confit chicken and potato hash. Favorites from Puccio and business partner Anna Weinberg's Marlowe are also on the menu: the famed burger and Brussels sprout chips. The bar is as lively as the dining room (blame the refreshing cocktails), but the volume remains at a pleasant level. The dining room has a handsome look to it, a bit classic bistro with an urban touch. Finish the night with the monthly rotating birthday cake, and be sure to make a wish as you blow out the candle.
