Hotel Palomar San Francisco Review

Favored by celebrities, this hotel on the top five floors of the green-tile 1908 Pacific Place Building offers a luxurious oasis above the busiest part of town: a softly lighted lounge area with plush sofas gives way to the chic, and much raved about, Fifth Floor restaurant-café, renowned for its adventurous French cuisine and exquisite wine list. Spacious rooms promise refuge from downtown with muted alligator-pattern carpeting, drapes with bold taupe-and-cream stripes, flat-screen TVs, and sleek furniture echoing a 1930s sensibility. Corner rooms have recently been spruced up to offer extra luxury. Sparkling bathrooms provide a decadent collection of botanical infusions for optimal relaxation. In-room spa services such as massage, manicures, and body wraps are facilitated through the Relax and Rejuvenate Spa. Fun Kimpton extras include in-room yoga, a bedside goldfish (upon request), guided morning runs along the waterfront, complimentary bikes, and the in-house pet dog, Maverick, everyone's favorite pooch.
