Uva Enoteca Review

A marble counter, a handful of banquettes, tables for two and four, a long brick wall, a young, savvy staff—Uva has all the trappings of the perfectly casual Italian wine bar. The menu is straightforward: assortments of Italian cured meats and cheeses, about 10 salads and vegetable dishes, and 4-5 pastas or pizzas, plus a few larger dishes for dinner, like pork loin or sausages. Italian wine aficionados appreciate the more than 15 wines by the glass, available in two sizes, assaggio (2 ounces) and quartino (8 ounces), and a long list of bottles. Many of the vini are from small vineyards and all of them are carefully chosen. Even the gelato is special, made by a local artisan. There's also a weekend brunch.
