Smart leather-and-wood booths, a pressed-tin ceiling, a menu of Italian (and a few French) dishes, a steady hum of activity -- it's hard not to like the big-city feel of this hotel dining room at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fritto misto of shrimp, squid, and fennel, rigatoni with duck bolognese sauce, and prosciutto-wrapped monkfish are among the evening choices. The room is open late, making it a welcome dessert destination -- with sweet successes like hazelnut panna cotta and ginger bread with pears -- after the theater. A three-course kids' menu keeps young diners happy.

We ate here in Aug. 2006 when in town for a wedding. My husband had sea bass and said it was the best he ever had! I can't remember what everyone else had but it was all good. We had a nice round corner booth for our party of 6 ( we had to change our reservation from 2 to 4 to 6 as family members kept inviting themselves and the hostess was very nice about it!! ) Would definitely recommend it!
