In its early years, LuLu was a magnet for dot-commers, who jammed the place every night. When the high-tech industry buckled, LuLu cooled, but never lost its appeal. Nowadays many of the same uncomplicated dishes -- fried artichokes, fennel, and lemon slices; mussels roasted in an iron skillet; wood-oven roasted poultry, meats, and shellfish; a small selection of pizzas and pastas -- fuel a more mixed clientele. There is a well-supplied raw bar, and main-course specials include a rotisserie-cooked main course that changes daily; Friday brings a succulent suckling pig. Sharing dishes is the custom here. Wine drinkers will appreciate the long list of choices by the glass. When LuLu is packed, service occasionally suffers.

what a pleasant surprise; a different approach to menu choices and presentations. Really enjoyed the freshly grilled meats and terrific grilled pizza. Service was top notch; definitely a return destination.
