Fog City Diner

Fog City Diner Review

This fully chromed destination is a far cry from the no-frills diner of Edward Hopper's Nighthawks. Fog City has all the trappings of a luxurious railroad car: wood paneling, huge windows, comfortable booths, and attentive staff. The menu is both classic and contemporary, and includes cheddar biscuits; mac-and-cheese made with three cheeses; cornmeal-crusted oysters with sriracha rémoulade; a pork T-bone; cioppino; a half-pound burger with a choice of cheese; and milk shakes and root-beer floats. Locals complain of too many out-of-towners, but plenty of folks who call San Francisco home fill the booths at lunch and dinner.
