Families looking for accommodations in the Union Square area will cheer this homey, family-run B&B. Built in 1913, the four-story Edwardian has front and back bay windows. The original "birdcage" elevator lifts you to hallways lined with wonderful historical photographs and freshly repainted and carpeted guest rooms decorated with antiques, wicker pieces, and Laura Ashley bedding and curtains. Fourteen rooms have private baths, some with claw-foot tubs. Afternoon tea and homemade cookies are served in the cozy parlor by the fire.

Loved our 4 day stay. The staff was wonderful and the room was spotless. The location is convenient to Union Square shopping and Chinatown. Bed linens were pure cotton and a very comfortable bed. Loved the bowl of Jelly Bellies too!
