Fodor's Review:

Highly attentive service remains the hallmark of this small, top-tier hotel. The pampering—from unpacking assistance to nightly turndown—begins the moment the doormen greet you outside the marble lobby. Many rooms are smallish, but all are elegant in a contemporary Italian style, with light earth tones and handsome pearwood paneling and cabinetry. Bathrooms have deep soaking tubs, and double-paned windows keep city noises out (a plus in this active neighborhood). The Campton Place Restaurant is famed for lavish breakfasts and Mediterranean-inspired dinners, and the hotel's lounge is popular with the downtown crowd at cocktail time.
