The Pickwick Hotel Review

Next door to the Westfield San Francisco Centre, which houses Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom, and convenient to Moscone Center, the Yerba Buena Gardens, and Union Square, the Pickwick caters to both business and leisure travelers. This terra-cotta-clad neo-Gothic hotel, built in 1926, is decked out with a can't-miss-it, seven-story corner sign straight out of film noir. The hotel finished a sweeping renovation, bringing new carpets, curtains, windows, tubs and bedding to all rooms, some of which have flat-screen TVs, as well as a new look for the historical lobby. Additional changes include an entire floor of executive rooms catering to business travelers. The new Soma Restaurant offers California cuisine with a Mediterranean twist as well as traditional breakfast and lunch. The courteous multilingual staff provide welcome assistance (there's 24-hour concierge service).
