Terzo

Terzo Review

With its zinc tapas bar, fireplace, big communal table, and mix of leather banquettes and oak tables, Terzo has what it takes to pull in the neighborhood social set and everyone else who appreciates expertly prepared Mediterranean fare. The restaurant is known for its small-plates menu, but also offers full-size entrées. On the compact, seasonally shifting menu you might find creamy hummus and warmed-to-order pita, chanterelles with crisp polenta and pecorino, grilled calamari with lentils, chicken spiedini, and wild mahimahi with garbanzos and charmoula sauce (spicy Moroccan sauce). But a plate of seriously addictive onion strings is available year-round. The extensive wine list is loaded with interesting vintners and varietals (some of them on the pricey side). Choosing from a handful of aperitifs—Lillet, Dubonnet, sherry, vermouth—is a good way to start your meal.
