Almost from the moment Myth opened, diners have been lining up for the chance to sit down to a meal prepared by über-chef Sean O'Brien. He cleverly offers a number of plates in full and half portions, so diners can opt for an all-small-plate meal that lets them taste more. The oft-changing menu might feature pancetta-wrapped rabbit loin with lentils or roasted black cod with maitake mushrooms, couscous, butternut squash and bacon jus. There's always pizza and a big Kobe beef burger on house-made focaccia. The high-design space—exposed brick, iron beanm, bamboo, stainless steel, Asian-patterned fabrics—is as seductive as the food. During weekdays, fans can stop next door at Myth Café for a more informal dining experience.

Both Myth Restaurant and Cafe Myth went out of business some time ago. As of October 2009, Quince moved from its Pacific Heights location to this Jackson Square space. (470 Pacific Ave, near Sansome)
