Legendary tattoo artist and historian Lyle Tuttle's collection of tattoo memorabilia fills half his crowded tattoo parlor on the edge of North Beach. Exhibits, including equipment, photographs, newspaper clippings, and a stuffed bat, cover everything from primitive tattooing in Samoa (where the bat comes in) to tattooing in San Francisco in the 1960s.
