Beyond Isa's tiny storefront dining room is a heated, candlelit patio that consistently draws couples on date night, ladies night out, and groups of friends celebrating birthdays. The extensive menu of French-inspired tapas is known for its flat-iron steak, potato-wrapped sea bass, and veal-sweetbreads-and-mushroom fricassee but unfortunately the menu hasn't changed much in recent years and feels a bit tired. Portions are small plates designed to be shared instead of full-size
entrées, so hearty appetites can run up a sizable tab for less-than-fabulous fare. A good way to keep your costs down is to opt for the three-course prix-fixe menu offered Sunday through Thursday for $29.95, and all wines by the glass are $5 before 7 pm every day.
