San Francisco Visitor Information Center
San Francisco Visitor Information Center Review
A multilingual staff operates this facility below the cable-car terminus. Staffers answer questions and provide maps and pamphlets. You can also pick up discount coupons—the savings can be significant, especially for families—and hotel brochures here. If you're planning to hit the big-ticket stops like the California Academy of Sciences, the Exploratorium, and SFMOMA, and ride the cable cars, consider picking up a CityPass here (or at any of the attractions it covers). The CityPass ($64, $39 ages 5-12), good for nine days including seven days of transit, will save you about 50%. Also buy your Muni Passport here.
