Fodor's Review

Even though San Francisco is right on the Bay, it can be surprisingly hard to find great menus that focus on fish. But this white-linen restaurant delivers. Platters of fruits de mer are shucked right at the raw bar, scallop carpaccio is tender, and pan-roasted fish sustainably caught. The main dining room is in a 1920s original with Spanish Gothic influences and a domed hand-painted ceiling. While the bar is more modern, with jelly-fish chandeliers and kelp-covered columns, it is a busy happy hour spot. Regional oysters and truffled fries are the happy-hour bargain (from 3 until 6 pm), even on Saturdays.
