Fodor's Review

Known for first-run foreign, art, American independent, and documentary offerings, Landmark operates three theaters in the San Diego area. La Jolla Village Cinemas is a modern multiplex set in a shopping center. Hillcrest Cinemas (3965 5th Ave., Hillcrest) is a posh multiplex right in the middle of Uptown's action. Ken Cinema (4061 Adams Ave., Kensington) is considered by many to be the last bastion of true avant-garde film in San Diego. It plays a roster of art and revival films that changes regularly (many programs are double bills).
