Fodor's Expert Review Observer's Inn

Julian Observatory

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

One of the best ways to see Julian's star-filled summer sky is by taking a sky-tour at Mike and Caroline Leigh's observatory, with research-grade telescopes. The hosts guide you through the star clusters and galaxies, pointing out planets and nebulae. The guides also offer solar tours at 11 am, when you can get a good look at the sun using a telescope designed for this purpose. It's also an inn, if you wish to stay the night. Reservations are necessary for tours and lodging.
