Julian Gold Rush Hotel Review

Built in 1897 by freed slave Albert Robinson and his wife, Margaret, this old hotel is Julian's only designated national landmark and offers antiques-filled rooms and cottage accommodations with private entrances and fireplaces. Current owners Steve and Gig Ballanger brought the old place into the 21st century, but it still feels thoroughly Victorian. The innkeepers serve afternoon tea and invite guests to sit on the porch and watch the world go by. Full breakfast is included.
