Courtyard by Marriott Mission Valley Review

Located in hotel-dense Mission Valley, this family-friendly hotel transformed from a Holiday Inn into a Courtyard by Marriott in 2008. Parents appreciate the living-room style of the downstairs lounge—U-shape couches and plush ottomans cluster around wall-mounted flat screens, perfect for post-SeaWorld pizza parties. Technology-focused perks attest to the hotel's young age: the fitness center's treadmills have personal TVs, the lounge has three wired computers and a Nintendo Wii for general use; and an iPhone-like touch screen in the lobby offers news, weather, and directions to area attractions. Rooms feature white down comforters, flat-screen TVs, and views of the not-so-scenic I-8.
