Though not in the heart of La Jolla, this modest property just a few blocks from the beach is a good value for families. Many rooms here are remarkably large, with huge closets. In 2007 the lobby and rooms received a makeover, including new beds, furniture, and floor coverings. The hotel has an outdoor pool, and the rates include a hot breakfast. This is a good option for all travelers who want to stay in town and still have a few dollars left over for shopping and dining.
