Fodor's Review

Near the Fashion Valley shopping mall and adjacent to the Hazard Center—which has a seven-screen movie theater, four major restaurants, and more than 20 shops—the Doubletree is also convenient to Route 163 and I–8. A San Diego Trolley station is within walking distance. Public areas done in a neoclassical style are bright and comfortable, well suited to this hotel's large business clientele. Amenities include heated indoor and outdoor pools, two tennis courts, and

a recently renovated fitness center. Executive floor guests enjoy a complimentary Continental breakfast and happy hour.

Comfortable Accomodations

I was pleased how huge the rooms were! I’ve stayed in other hotel rooms that were half the size and twice the rate. The new fitness center and pools were wonderful. We had sipped on wine by the fire pits at the pool, very cozy.

Great Hotel, Great Location

Stayed 4 nights here on the executive level floor. Very clean, elegant hotel. It was convenient to the trolley to Old Town or downtown, with connections to buses to get almost anywhere in SD. Breakfast and afternoon reception on 11th floor were excellent each day. The room was large, bathroom could have been larger. One complaint would be the strange pocket door to the bathroom--it was awkward to push and pull open and shut. Seems there was plenty

of room for a regular door.. Also, the parking fee seemed excessive for that area. All in all a great place to stay.

Great for Charger Games

Comfortable room with trolley to Qualcom stadium right outside the door. If you are in SD for a game this is a good choice.
