Fodor's Review:

Near the Fashion Valley shopping mall and adjacent to the Hazard Center—which has a seven-screen movie theater, four major restaurants, a food pavilion, and more than 20 shops—the Doubletree is also convenient to Route 163 and I-8. A San Diego Trolley station is within walking distance. Public areas done in a neoclassical style are bright and comfortable, well suited to this hotel's large business clientele. A complimentary Continental breakfast and happy hour are provided for executive floor guests. Pros: Centrally located, large rooms, executive floor. Cons: Dated bathrooms, few amenities.

I was pleased how huge the rooms were! I’ve stayed in other hotel rooms that were half the size and twice the rate. The new fitness center and pools were wonderful. We had sipped on wine by the fire pits at the pool, very cozy.
