This sprawling South Seas-style resort has grassy open areas with palms and tiki torches. A $20 million upgrade in early 2008 put new bedding, carpeting, flat-screen TVs, microwaves, and granite vanities in guest rooms. The rooms, some with kitchens and some with yacht-harbor or bay views, are decorated in a subtle natural color scheme. The Grand Marina Suite can accommodate up to eight in 1,000 square feet with a full kitchen. Locals throng to Humphrey's for the brunch, jazz lounge, and the outdoor jazz and pop concerts from May through October. Pros: Water views, near marina, nightlife on property. Cons: Vast property, not centrally located.

This hotel is not worth looking at! We booked on the internet and looked at three different rooms when we arrived before leaving to find another hotel. It is old, dark, worn and way too expensive for what you get. The grounds are nice but the buildings need a major overhaul.
